On Reflection
Why is it that all Vizier’s are evil? Since it’s actually a job title, you’d think that whatever Sultan
happened to be ruling would simply dissolve the position, which to all intents and purposes, is
just a title for someone who’ll stab him in the back. Despite its incredible simplicity, this is
surprisingly brilliant and a vital reminder of what we considered to be ground-breaking animation
back in 1989.
The Score
Attention ‘developers’ of high-definition borders (otherwise known as Live Arcade retro classics)
– stand by for a lesson in how things should be done. Of course, on the one hand this is ‘only’ a
remake of the 1989 original, complete with its retro hour-long time limit, but isn’t it gorgeous?
Isn’t it? Ahem.

It’s still the same twitchy blink-and-you’re-dead experience at times, but there’s never been a
better time to sample one of the greats. Fact.
