On Reflection

Having successfully completed this game with a trio of human players, we’d like to trump this up a little. Unless you count the dangleberry-encrusted TMNT: The Arcade Game, or the uniquely horrible Double Dragon, there’s not a lot quite like it.

The Score

Though Darran Jones argues they’re elves in all his retro wisdom, Team X360 insists they’re imps. Whatever, back when our frustration was aimed at petty bullies and why the tuck shop didn’t open after lunchtime, the short blue (and occasionally green) fellows allowed us a healthy release for that anger. Say beep beep to me, will you?

Anyway, your quest against Death Adder has been made prettier than ever before seen in the home, this being a conversion of the highly successful arcade outing rather than the Mega Drive one. There’s online co-op available too, but, unlike Sonic’s outing, we feel it’d be hard pushed to attract many beyond-nostalgia hunters. We’re more Streets Of Rage type guys, with the carelessly discarded roast chicken a particular favourite.
