Something for the Weekend: 800 Points or less
It’s Friday once again, and that means it’s game time!
It’s Friday once again, and that means it’s game time! You can never be sure quite what to expect with the British summer, so if it rains and keep us all indoors, this weekend we’re giving you a selection of games at 800 Points or less to amuse you.
Risk Factions
800 Points

We all know that rainy weather is perfect for board games, and one of our all-time favourites is the military turn-based classic Risk. It just speaks to our competitive and military side, and we have fun memories of trouncing family members with our superior tactics. Now that it’s come to Live we can take on the world, playing with either the classic rules or with more fluid objective and world conquest scenarios – befriend us and we’ll kick you butt!

Darwinia +
800 Points
These two award-winning strategy games ( Darwinia and Multiwinia) are great fun as you protect a race of sentient stick men that live inside a computer network from a ravaging virus. With a squad of five Darwinians that shoot pixellated lines which take out the red virus polygons, it’s up to you save the computerised world. Its follow up Multiwinia is included in this pack, and it explodes the idea with multiplayer and warring factions. It’s an addictive, hard-to-break habit playing this stylishly retro classic.

Chime
240 Points
This amazing little game was originally created to raise money for charity, so just downloading it should make you feel good. In essence it’s a music-creation rhythm puzzle game that feels a bit like a cross between Tetris, Electroplankton and DJ Hero. Chime’s strongest asset is the amazing music by the likes of Fred Deakin of Lemon Jelly and Orbital, which give its simple puzzle action the ability to totally mesmerise you.
