Infinity Ward exodus continues

Judicious spying on LinkedIn profiles reveals that two more Infinity Ward members may have jumped the nest after the furore following the dismissal of team big cheeses Vince Zampella and Jason West a few weeks back.

Despite rumours that remaining Infinity Ward members are being ‘held to ransom’ with the threat of as-yet unpaid bonuses, Todd Alderman – a lead designer and multiplayer guru – and lead software engineer Franceso Gigliotti have both, apparently, left the company in the last week. If it’s true, this could hardly be said to be a particularly knee-jerk reaction, as both developers had been with the company for over seven years.

Do they know exactly what they’re going to do next? One has to wonder if Vampella and West have some kind of cunning plan up their sleeves. Probably involving a new name, a new publisher, and military-based FPSs. Hopefully there’ll still be excellent moustaches, too – we’re not aware they can be copyrighted.
