In an interview with the Times, the self-styled chairman of the Centre for Social Justice announced, “We are driving children to lose their childhood, and some video games are incredibly violent, like Grand Theft Auto.”
“They are meant to be 18 but nobody cares what it says on the label,” added the man who, while he lacked the trainers or funky ‘I took drugs at university’ soundbites to win a general election, clearly has his finger on the pulse of popular culture after all.

Crytek has publically announced its intention or, rather, its obligation, to leave Germany if the governmental law against ‘violent’ videogames goes through in September. After all, if such a law was successfully passed, it would make staying in the country pure folly on the Crysis developer’s part.

Hello! Between writing 360, drinking cheap coffee, and staring the wall in fits of despair, the 360 team like nothing more than to swivel around in our chairs and engage in some random office banter. So we thought we’d try out a new blog feature where we round-up some of the random conversation topics we’ve had over the course of each day. The early half of any year is usually the time for publishers to put out all the games they were far too terrified to put up against the big hitters of the holiday period and so it has been this last few and upcoming months, but I’ve been wondering whether the strength of last year’s late games has pushed more quality into early 2009
